No greater time could be found to commemorate myths of resurrection than the time of the Spring Equinox when the earth is re-awakening from the „dead of winter“. Halfway between the solstices in late March and in late September, there are two days when the northern and southern hemispheres receive the same amount of sunlight and the days and nights are of the same length. These days are the equinoxes. Long before the occasion of Easter which celebrates the resurrection of Jesus, people celebrated the Vernal equinox and the rebirth of Spring. In Ancient Egypt, we find the people celebrated the God Osiris during this time of year.
